M.TAKEHARA's conversations

Thanks! Maybe one day I will get to Shanghai and see it myself! :)

Hi oldfilm, Yes,this house is Villa 329-32a. I will correct a built year. Thank you for a great information about this and other houses in this area. I read interestingly a dissertation of Feng Li (Columbia Circle),to get further knowledge of this area. But, regrettably I could not see home movies probably due to problem of software.

I believe that the home on the right was our family home in the late 1920 and 1930s. The address was 301 Amherst Road. I wonder if you might have any other shots of this home.

Hi,dcmac. This building had named Friendship Building in Chinese, probably not Gymnasium.

Dear pan_tingli,

Do you know of Bishop Graves, Randall Norton (married to Bishop Graves' daughter), and Josephine Lucy Norton? These are my mother, grandfather and great-grandfather. My mother grew up on St Johns campus too, until she was 16. I visited in 1995 but have not been back since. I like to hear about others who have a connection to St Johns. yours, Meg Berger

Thank you for your work

Hi Cartwright, Thank you for your comment. But the name of this building is right (Zhejiang Building). Fuzhou Mansions is the neighboring building.

great shot;) I like your photo;)

我儿时曾在山阴路积善里住过,见到这张照片很亲切!
