I always take my camera when I travel on business and choose the window seat. When traveling west of Denver, I enjoy finding places I have hiked or visited and taking pictures from 35,000. I like to post both interesting photos I have taken as well as the ordinary pictures of the places I have been. I am grateful to Panoramio for letting me share my little world with the world at large! Come visit my gallery and say hello!

This shows the saddle on Mount Shavano that leads to Tabeguache Peak which allows hikers to bag two Fourteeners in one hike. It also shows how Jones Peak is connected to Mount Shavano by a long narrow ridge. You can't see that from H. 285 driving south from Buena Vista to Salida. It looks like they are unconnected. Antero is a Fourteener, as is Shavano and Tabequache, but Jones Peak and Mount White are 13,000 foot mountains.

I like this picture ☼ greetings → Marek-Ewjan

This cliff was used in the movie, 6 Days and & 7 Nights, with Harrison Ford and Ann Heche. The area is known as Shipwreck Point because there was an old shipwreck there. The cliff is near the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Kauai, which is the island where the movie was filmed. Harrison Ford and Anne Heched jump off the cliff like this guy is doing to escape a band of pirates who are chasing them.
