Hi, Thanks for visiting my gallery. I live in Karoola in Tasmania, a beautiful place of farms and green rolling hills. Holly and I have a hobby farm of 50 acres where we have 90 Wiltshire Horn sheep which we farm ethically for breeding and meat. The photos of Antarctica were taken in 1988 when I overwintered at Casey Station, and also in 1990/1 in the Prince Charles Mountains inland from Mawson Station from a time when I was a geologist.

¡¡¡¡MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Thanks Danflo.

I was there as a geologist collecting samples. It was a fantastic experience that is unforgetable. Most of my time was spent at casey station either getting field equipment ready to go out or out collecting rocks. It was very cold but only occassionally dangerous. I was working with some great people so it was fun.

Thanks, I'm glad you like.

Me trasmite perfectamente el frio polar

Field camp in the Prince Charles Mountains. Our red and yellow Polar pyramid tent in in the lower right foreground to gice you some scale. The rocks are banded gneises and metamorphic charnockites. It was really cold here (for the summer season!) and we experienced the weirdest thermal gusts at night that wildly shook our tent every 30 minutes.

Adelie Penguins on winter sea-ice.

Emperor Penguin. Only an occassional visitor to Casey Station.
