Hi, Thanks for visiting my gallery. I live in Karoola in Tasmania, a beautiful place of farms and green rolling hills. Holly and I have a hobby farm of 50 acres where we have 90 Wiltshire Horn sheep which we farm ethically for breeding and meat. The photos of Antarctica were taken in 1988 when I overwintered at Casey Station, and also in 1990/1 in the Prince Charles Mountains inland from Mawson Station from a time when I was a geologist.

A bit of sea ice which has algae growing in it. The ice algae can be pink or brown and grows at about 1 foot below the surface.

Amazing place!!!

Is that a bicycle on top?!

Super composition like. Best regards, Darja.

Красивая птичка!

I imagine that is what a mid days afternoon would look like if you visited an earth like planet orbiting in the Goldilocks Zone of a Dwarf Star. Great photo.

The melting Arctic is under threat from oil drilling, industrial fishing and conflict. Open your eyes!
