Hi whoelius, I'm sorry you have had to wait so long for my reply, but I only found this site two days ago. All the photos come from my search regarding my family tree which I traced back to 1530 in Radcliffe. My father and his parents were the first members of my direct line to leave Radcliffe. He was aged one at the time and they moved to Middleton, where I was eventually brought up. There are 90 pictures in total and I also wrote the true history of Radcliffe in 'Hall or Nothing'. This refers to the Radcliffe Tower in Close Park and the GREAT HALL which it was supposed to be attached to, but never existed. The hall was originally believed to be the home of the de-Radcliffe family but the Bury Local History Society did a dig there which revealed nothing. I discovered on the shelves of Manchester Central Library the relevant plans and details of the true home of the de-Radcliffe family. I can therefore support my information as the truth! I am happy to release all.
Very nice photo ! LIKE.
Well, finally a real 'free range' rooster singing that ole coutry song 'I've got spurs'.
