April 6, 2008 16:37 View from near the top of Tully Mountain. In the center of the photo is Tully Lough. In the distance is Mweelrea. If you want to walk on Tuly Mountain have a look at my gps-trail on wikiloc.com
A great walk from Roundstone to the top of Errisbeg hill. This isolated hill offers superb views over the Connemara moorlands and the Atlantic. For route details have a look at my gps-trail on wikiloc.com
Rescue station on the Vliehors. This remote spot on the Vliehors sandbar is popular with tourists and also a beloved wedding location. You can reach this spot by paying for a truckdrive from The Posthuys. But if you're a reasonable fit walker the far nicer option is to walk there. You can make a nice circular walk from The Posthuys following the coastline and enjoy the great open space. See my gps-trail at wikiloc.com. Be warned, this is military terrain and not accessible during weekdays and/or when the red flags are up.
2004, the first Weekendhike (www.weekendhike.nl) midsummernight beach walk (43km from IJmuiden to Scheveningen). In the very far background the IJmuiden Hoogovens are still visible (smoke plumes).

What a great photo, fkaatje - furthest island is Inishvickillaun, with Inis na Bró nearest - one of the few Panoramio photos accurately placed.
Nice photo, but at least several miles misplaced The real location is most likely somewhere along the N59.
View to the north from near the summit. The peaks in the foreground are Cnoc na hUilleann on the left and Binn Bhriocáin in the center.

Nice dune area on Vlieland where it's really great to ramble.
