This house once belonged to my childrens great grandmothers adoptive mother. She was gypsy and had alot of money. I got to spend time in the house while it was still in the original condition. It was a beautiful old mansion with dark wood, built in cabinets, and fire places. The old lady had adpoted many children and they lived well, and had chickens in the back and vegetables as well. In the early 80's, my childrens great uncle John (at the time around age 19)was shot and killed in a dispute with a guy from a near by bar. He died in the yard by the basement door. Around 2000, the old lady passed away and the house went in forclosure. Now its remodeled and 2 separate apartments. Its too bad it couldnt be restored.
