Gold Country Artist Gallery on Main Street in Placerville.
On our annual Fall Photo Shoot, my father and I came across this flock of sheep with one gray donkey. For a closer look, see photo #ID: 13363809 which was not selected for Google Earth.
What a glorious view!
A wonderful shot - I have never been to this part of the lake, before. Is it only accessible by the Rubicon Trail?
The tide was too high to see any of the round rocks and the stairs were washed out (as of end of July 2008). Otherwise, it looks like a very nice beach. Schooner beach, to the south, is an easy walk from Hwy 1.
I made a guess as to the name of this beach. The trail leading to it is Ross Creek Bluff Top Trail. If anyone knows the name of this beach, please let me know.
This picture was taken from Burnside Lake Rd, but the marker may be a bit off. There are a few groves along the roads, but none around the lake itself. Has anyone hiked the trail from Burnside Lake to Grover Springs in the fall?
This is a great spot to take wildflower photos in the spring. Mostly CA Poppies. There is no parking near the site or along the roads! You must pay and park in the town of Coloma and walk over the bridge. The historic town of Coloma is a beautiful place to stay a while and have lunch.
