vastime's conversations
This is a local beauty spot - gorge + waterfall. There is an old legend that a cow had got over the river and the little old lady didn't know how to get it back. The devil offered to make a bridge for her in exchange for the first living thing that crossed over it - figuring that even if he didn't get her he'd get the cow. The little old lady tricked the devil by sending her dog over before going to fetch the cow.

Hi Mac, I've not been up there recently but I've been told they've built a bypass around it as it's a bit fragile!

Hi Annette,
It's a nice walk - I used to go though clarach village then along the winding road to the top of Penglais hill, then on the path behind the Principles house back into Aber. Which route did you prefer? Did you ever return the phone? Cheers Vas
