You can see more of my work on Facebook as "Starlisa Black Photography"; on Google+ as Darlisa Black; My primary website at ; and on Twitter a Starlisa Black. Photography has become my passion, my healing and therapy, and my joy. My parents took me to the hills often as a child and taught me to love the beauty around me. The area from Mount Adams to the White Salmon, WA has always been my home, and I returned here in 2000 after several years in Port Townsend, WA. You can see more of my work on Facebook as "Starlisa Black Photography", on Google+ as Darlisa Black, on Smugmug at Recently I have found ways to sell some of my work as notecards and large prints in an effort to use my talents to help provide my livelihood, and have a few images published now in books, calendars and magazines. I also do caregiving for elders.

This photo was taken along the 67 trail, and I double checked with GPS coordinates on the map... it is very close to accurate. It was part of a series of photos taken while hiking up Climber's trail and then back down the 67 to the 9 trail.

I am surprised to still see Blaine Franger's work here represented as a photo by Summerraa. Here is a link to his facebook page for Hood River, with the photo as the cover shot. is Blaine's photography site with this photo, to show where it comes from. I know Blaine personally, he is a fine person who works hard to get his lovely photos. DO NOT STEAL!

the really sad thing is a lot of this burned this year in the Cougar Creek Fire.

Stark shot. -Steen

Beautiful, spring in the foothills while still winter on the high mountain peak. Great capture. -Steen
