Centuries ago Moughal Empror Zahir ud Din (BABAR) said about Kashmir That "If Paradise on earth exists it is here" but I wonder If He have had seen the CANADA What would be his remarks?
I'm not sure why Pat but the photo location in google earth is located in Fernie, B.C. There is a Castle Mtn. in Fernie but much smaller and certainly not this Castle Mtn. Nice photo though!
If you walk downstream a hundred meters or so from the viewpoint (there should be a path) you can scramble down the slope (wear good footwear!)and get right down to the river. Someone actually left a rope to aid in getting back up (it's really steep). The day I took this shot there were a couple mountain goats sleeping at the base of the cliffs and I got some pictures but they stayed too far away to get any really good shots.
Thanks Monica. I agree, most of the sunset shots I've taken appear washed out but this particular sunset was so brilliant in color and with the mountains in shadow the contrast was amazing.

He's charming.
Hello Barat. It is natural. We have these old air conditioner units outside our office here and the young Bighorn Sheep will often climb on them.
What a great shot, Stephen!

The view from my front porch.
