Born & raised in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. A father of 3, married to an equally curious traveller. I'd see it all if I could!
I followed your comments in a few of your Somalia posts...and felt inclined to tell you how nice a view you have from your home. Beautiful gardens, stain glass, and neighborhood! Happy travels!
Hi, you wrote me on July, sorry that I'm answering until today, but I never check my profile here, well, you sent me a comment on my picture on rio Dulce in Guatemala and if you're interested in visiting this place let me tell you how to get there, let me try to help you.
You have to take the road to the Atlantic, to Puerto Barrios. First you reach the cross to Morales Km 243, almost a kilometer after that cross you'll see a crossing to your left that goes to Tikal (Peten) and Rio Dulce, you take that road and after that is very simple, you're gonna reach a huge and tall bridge (Puente Rio Dulce) before passing over it, in the beginning of the bridge there's an exit to your right that takes you under the bridge, take that street and in the end of that road is the river (Rio Dulce) and to your rigth is this Hotel, it's easy if you have any doubts, write me again. The best months to visit this region are march and april but the Hotel might be full, you can also check this website http://www.hotelbackpackers.com/index1024.html there's all the info you might want, bye.
