Jordan pond is on Mount Desert Island, not Bar Island. Bar Island has no ponds or lakes.

This house was originally built in 1858. An addition was put on the back sometime around 1900. At one point, there had been a fire that destroyed part of that addition. Only part of the addition was rebuilt. Charred wood from the fire could be found from the attic to the basement.

This was the seasonal section of the campground. The "transient" area has sites spaced farther apart, greater privacy, and a lot more shade.

This was home for about 6 weeks between selling our house in Massachusetts and buying our house in Minnesota.
Pop-ups didn't normally get put in this "seasonal" section of the campground; the transient section was far more private and had better tree cover.

We had deer come to the other side of this small lake when we lived at Ham Lake Campground in 2003. On this monring, we caught the mist rising from the water.
