Thank you for your thoughts. I have seen a few comments around this. Reading all of them, I might have got it wrong, but I interpret it to mean: Upload all your pictures to illustrate Google Earth & Maps without getting any kind of recognition, or other benefits (eg ability to have conversations via comments) back from it. In other words no give and take, it's a one way street. We give, they take. At least with Flickr you can have conversations.

Yes it is sad. We can only hope that Google Views will ultimately be better.

Views is made to only host geo pictures. If the policy is being changed I'd be happy. Any more info on it?
