"I have often thought that if photography were difficult in the true sense of the term — meaning that the creation of a simple photograph would entail as much time and effort as the production of a good watercolor or etching — there would be a vast improvement in total output. The sheer ease with which we can produce a superficial image often leads to creative disaster." - Ansel Adams

I knew instantly that it was an inverted "small world" - i.e. an all-sky fisheye, with a sky covered with trees. It does remind me of an eyeball, though.

You are like a bad penny, Mr. Brown. I found this while checking out Lake Lousia State Park. I'll be going to visit my daughter in March, and she is currently living less that 5 miles from here.

For the like!!!

schönes Bild, like Liebe ♥ Grüße sendet dir der bayernengel.

Very nice photo. L.

As you can see, a boat tour is organized on Crater lake, every day of the summer season. For more information, see the National Park website.

What a change from 2006 (when your photo was taken) to 2011 (when mine were taken). This looks like water levels were rather low. When I was there (summer of 2011), the sluce gates were open due to high water, the only time that has happened in the dam's history.
