If you cut out the foreground sand, this picture is very atmospheric. Even more so in black and white. Alnmouth is a stunning little fishing village on the Northhumbrian coast with a huge, dramatic beach.

Late in the day at South Shields. I positioned the sun directly behind the Weeble's head for the silhouette effect.

The Angel is a very much photographed icon. She is beautiful and awe-inspiring. I was struggling to get her wing-span in the frame so I opted to position her feet in the bottom-left hand corner of the frame.

Penshaw Monument is another hard object to photograph well. This was taken at dusk with a large amount of cloud cover. The setting sun was shining glorious pinks and purples on the undersides of the clouds.

This was taken in the Sage carpark. It's difficult to take a good picture of the Sage because all the best views of it face south, so the sun is behind. This was taken at dusk. Note the plane above the bridge.
