That is possible. Actually on Marie-Galante the vegetation is not so lush. In addition, it could only have been taken from an area called "la barre de l'île" which is the highest elevation on the island. From there you may have a view towards the east coast, facing the Atlantic. But it is a drier coastline with rocks and cliffs which do not show-up on your photo.
