Oh that makes two of us, although I've moved on to the port and cheese now :)) I think you are right, but in Steve's case it certainly looks like the outriggers were not out, although of course I guess it is possible as the crane tipped over that somehow they moved back in (at least I bet that is what the driver claims!!)
In the one in my my distant memory I couldn't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure it was the same thing, but it ought to be an elementary safety device. Maybe it can be overridden for some reason?
