Ramre's conversations

Klaus Rommel said:

Hi Ramre, it was a very hot summer day and very comfortable taking pictures in the dim coolness of the crypt. But first I had to (temporarily) remove some pews. Many thanks for visit and comment, greetings from Germany, Klaus

Thank you Ramre for your visit and your positive comment... but I am not sure I have well understood your question. What do you mean with...quadratic?

However, I try to answer you. The cupola is circular as usual, but in the lower part, where is linked to the roof, is squared. Looking from outside, the cupola is a polygon, as in many churches in south Italy and in Greece, where Byzantines ruled. With this, I do not want to say that the church was built by Byzantines, but it is a good hypotesis that the church was built by people coming from South Italy.

Is it what you want to know?

Ciao from Italy and from... Le Marche

Thank you Ramre. A popular (and very beautiful) subject deserves original perspectives.

Hi Ramre... I hear what you say... On an average summerday, there are more tourists there than people who actually live there... :D
