Nice capture with the buzzard in it!

About 26 Years ago, as a 13 or 14 year old, my friends and I used to play in there. We weren't supposed to, but we did.

Made by Waltrip High School students and winner of the Mayors Cup, "Atomic Dog - One Nation Under a Groove" was inspired by the King of Funk, George Clinton and was the hit of the 2006 Houston Art Car Parade.

The Beer Can House, created by John Milkovisch is celebrated as one of those quirky, only-in-Houston experiences unknown to many natives but a draw for tourists from all over the world. Aluminum siding 12 ounces at a time!

Green River, Wyoming, was the starting point for the two expeditions down the Green and Colorado Rivers led by Major John Wesley Powell in 1869 and 1871. On these expeditions Powell completed the exploration of the last, large, unknown land area in the continental United States.

The Twisted Shoe campsite is named in honor of Mescalero Apache chief Zapato Tuerto (Twisted Shoe), who led Apache warriors in a battle against Spanish soldiers in this vicinity in April 1787.

Quote from Park Ranger and Historian Eric Leonard when referencing the Marufo Vega Trail.. "Ahhh The Widow Maker. One person dies on that trail on average about every five years or so."
