Bonjour! Allo! Salut! :0)

Nice mountain scene. There aren't that many rocky tops in the Appalachian Range along the eastern U.S. near where I'm at, but more out west in the Rocky Mountains, the Cascades and Sierra Nevada. I need to get more fall foliage shots out in the mountains though, but this year, I plan on checking out the colors through the ditch trails of Great Dismal Swamp in Virginia. Hopefully, I didn't wait too long. Peaktime comes late here due to the warmer temperatures, but it's been windy the past couple days and more leaves are beginning to fall. There will be more pictures forthcoming. :0)

Hey Foxx, there are a lot of great waterfalls in the Troy area. The biggest ones are the Cohoes Falls, Barberville Falls, and the Poestenkill Falls. There are tons of smaller ones around too, including 2 great ones in Oakwood Cemetery. The one in this photo is a little hard to get to, you have to go a way down the drive of the Country Club of Troy, till it crosses a bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge, the trail to these falls starts on the left side of the road. A full map of all the falls in Rensselaer County can be found here.

Thanks. :0) Unfortunately, due to the severe drought situation throughout much of the southeastern United States, fall foliage isn't expected to be as colorful as last year.

Thanks. :0) I probably won't go quite as far next hike...most likely to Mount Colden. I'd like to hike to Algonquin Peak, but that'll take about as much time as going to Mount Marcy not to mention a bit more difficult climb. This weekend, I'll be going to visit relatives in Alabama. I may stop by Table Rock State Park in South Carolina along the way, as it's not far from my travel route by Interstate 85. Nearby Sassafras Mountain, the highest point in the state, I heard is not worth the hike as it's a relatively easy climb and not much of a summit...just a USGS marker on top. Either way, there should be some decent fall foliage during that time.

Good work... Greetings, Paty.

Naw, I don't have underneath photos of any covered bridges I took, just the inside and exteriors. Most of them are on my personal website.

Ah....I do believe the ones here are done by farmers (with a similar amount of spare time come the depths of winter).

Different shades of yellow leaves during fall foliage from around the Raleigh, North Carolina area...taken in 2006.

Thank you. :0) Unfortunately...when I drove Skyline Drive last year, the southern portion of Shenandoah National Park was foggy. I was able to get photos from overlooks on the east side of Skyline Drive but not the west side. Hopefully, I can get back up there later this year and catch those.

The town is also called Richmond upon Thames or Richmond-Surrey. It's located about 10 miles west of London. Paved Court is a small alleyway full of businesses and some homes which is situated near the Richmond Green and Thames River. I've never been to the U.K. myself. My mother and grandfather went there a few years ago. She took the pictures throughout southern England. This is probably the best looking one so far.
