Thank you for sharing your photo of Hopen Kirke at Hopen on Smola. I am a relative of Herbert Hopen, here in Wisconsin, whose grandfather Ole Hopen took his surname from Hopen farm on nearby Hitra island near Melandsjo. We suspect that the Hopen name migrated from Hopen at Smola to Hitra long ago. I will share your photo with Herbert Hopen. He visited Hopen at Smola many years ago. ~ James Herrick

And we have good places too, we have not only the "smoke" of Obilic.This is our good halthy place Rugova valley, I should visit it more, I need better air.
