Beautiful Building....I attended GRClark Elementary in 1940-1945, Barret JH 1946-1948; taught there 1963-1969. Born on N Birchwood in 1935. Good to see the neighborhood looking so good.
Once featured in the movie “Nice Guys Sleep Alone”, this iconic example of Post-Gastronomical, Shanty-Revival architecture is now a parking lot for the building its previous owner tried to demolish in order to create a parking lot.

I used to go to church here (since 1938 to 1958)
I used to walk down Frank Avenue (past this fire station) each school day on my way to Barret Jr. High 1947-1949, from 202 N. Birchwood (see picture)
