I received a message from someone saying they found this photo offensive and asked that I remove it. They claimed to live in these apartments and said that they knew people who were injured in this fire. However, this fire occurred during construction of the apartments. No one was living in them. No one was injured in the fire. Contractors on site all had plenty of time to get to safety. The reason the fire was so destructive was because sprinklers weren't in place yet so there was little to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings.

In any case, if it makes any difference I'll go take a new picture from the exact same vantage and add it to the site.
