This was in early may. There are a number of ways up. easiest being the miners track from the pen y pass. I took this from the slopes of crib goch, but it's dangerous- and you should only attempt it if you are with someone experienced.
Snowdon itself is disappointing as it is too commercialised- but the area is amazing. Make a day of it and visit the local Lyn Ogwen valley. i met a local who wondered why people went away for their holidays when this was on the doorstep. he was right.
