My son and I ate breakfast at La Catrina de Alcala in Oaxaca--not often the chef comes out and makes SURE you liked his experiment!! This time we had ordered our favorite breakfast--molletes--but instead of beans as the base it came with "mermelada" and 'chevre' cheese... it was ok (personally I loved it), but it wasn't what my son was expecting. So the chef made him a special order of molletes with Oaxacan black beans and quesillo. He spent a lot of time talking about traditional Mexican food with us and we had a great chat--nice guy, great food!
