These are the piers that used to support the branch line that ran from Patney to Bradford on Avon over the Kennet and Avon canal at Foxhangers. They appear as block construction, but look more like poured concrete on closer inspection. The plinths are bound and reinforced by railway line section steel. Any past pictures with the bridge in situ?
