Hi again Michael. I used to get a worried about that also, so I would always wind the film tight so I could physically see the rewind crank turning when I turned to the next frame. A guarantee that the film was engaged and winding on properly. One of the downsides of pre-digital! These days the worry is batteries running out too quickly and the memory card being too full!
