I am a native of Falmouth, Maine, attended Falmouth schools and was awarded a certificate for Perfect Attendance for all 13 years! I went to the University of Southern Maine for Business Administration and while attending there took the pre-licensing courses that allowed me to apply those credits to obtain my Broker’s license. I now live on the West End of Portland, with Dan Kennedy, my partner of 15 years, in an 1876 Italianate Victorian, which was recently featured on HGTV’s “What You Get For The Money”. We also have a summer home in Ogunquit. After college I was in a family retail business, then opened The Foundry Restaurant and Nightclub in Portland. I enjoyed renovating and putting the business together but did not enjoy the day-to-day operations and sold the business after three years. After renovating a brick Sea Captain’s home while in college and after various other property renovations, I realized that I enjoyed real estate enough to activate my license and try to make a living at it! I started at Century 21 Balfour in 1986 and was rookie of the year. The company was purchased by Coldwell Banker Harnden Beecher in 2000, and then subsequently purchased by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in 2002. After meeting with Dottie, Linda, Leanne and Cathy and attending the Keller Williams Family Reunion in 2003, I caught the Keller Williams Fever and my group joined in March of 2003. Being community minded, I have given much of my time to local and non-profit organizations by serving on their boards and committees. As a former national competitive figure skater, I am still involved at local ice arenas, offering my coaching skills for both competitive skaters and learn-to-skate programs. I have also served on the board of both the Portland Board of Realtors and the Maine Association of Realtors, and feel it is important to give back to the organizations that support our industry.

I believe this is the Williamsburg. The West End Commons Condos at the point on the map where this photo is plotted is actually a 5 story apartment building converted to Condos.

Historic West End Brick Mansion built in 1912 by architect George Burnham with attention to every detail. As soon as you enter the gracious foyer with impressive open staircase, you will feel the sense of the open and airy feeling. The spacious front to back formal living room with mantel adorned with double columns and decoration, you will enjoy the decorative painting by artists Ralff and Son and corners adorned with Toni Wolf’s scenes of the Tuscan hillside, described in Maine Home and Design Magazine’s June 2009 issue “as they might look if viewed through columns.” Crossing back through the foyer you will find the generous formal dining room also with fireplace, walls covered with “Zuber” scenes. The custom kitchen offers a well thought out design with state of the art appliances, dining and sitting areas opening to professionally designed private gardens.

As you experience the 2nd floor, you will find an additional front to back study/great room with fireplace which could also be used as a media room. Master bedroom offers custom built ins, walk in closet, fireplace and private bath. Additional bath and guest room overlooking gardens are a real plus.

3rd floor has 3 bedrooms (one with fireplace), newer bath with aerial views of the gardens.

The gardens offer a variety of sitting areas as well dramatic backdrops for garden sculptures and private outside living.

This home offers a rare brick 3 car garage off the private alley way.
