txllxt Place of living: The Isle of Texel, North Holland. Interests: Wide-Angle Photography (16 mm Full Frame), 360 Degrees Panoramas (mostly made with Microsoft's ICE), European Architecture, Cityscapes, Landscapes. Within Architecture: Art Nouveau, Gaudi, Renaissance, Seaside Resorts, Spa Resorts, French Gardens & (Gothic) Cathedrals. ################################### Present: Since 07-06-13 I've got the (as good as new) Nokia 808 Pureview Smartphone with Carl Zeiss F2.4 8.02mm lens & 38MP maximum resolution (in 4:3 aspect ratio - output size: 7728 x 5368 pixels). ################################### Present: Since 29-09-09 I belong to the happy users of a Full Frame Sony Alpha a900 DSLR. Original picturesize: 20-25Mb in cRAW-format, stored on a Transcend 32 Gb Flashcard & Sandisk 32 Gb Memory Stick Pro Duo. All a900 Photos have been taken without flash. ################################## On 12-06-10 I have taken a deep breath and bought the Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T 16-35 F2.8 ZA SSM SAL1635Z with a Hoya SHMC Super Multi-Coated Circular Polarizer Filter 77mm (Seen on Panoramio: from Photo 40236462 & higher). This objective will from now on be coupled with the a900, while the Minolta AF 28-135 mm joins the a100 (to function as a 55-200 mm zoomlens). ################################### From 30-06-10 I use DxO Optics Pro 6 Elite for RAW processing (Update: from 03-12-11 DxO Optics Pro 7 Elite, from November 2012 DxO Optics Pro 8 Elite). This program has the lens softness correction & camera combination I need (a900 + CZ16-35mm). All pictures in Panoramio from this date on are presented in an 'as shot' way (: + Auto Centre Weighted Exposure Compensation + Manual Dust Removal + HDR Single Shot (Choice among: Auto Slight, Auto Medium & Auto Strong)) as DxO has corrected them. The output of DxO in Jpeg often happens to be bigger in size (>30 Mb, 100% Lossless) than the input of RAW. The 6.5 Version of DxO Optics Pro 6 has HDR Single Shot as a new feature, which makes it possible to correct photos, that were taken directly against the sun. From 05-02-2011 Photoshop CS5 & Lightroom 4.1 are used together with DxO Optics Pro 7xx. For panorama photocompilations I use Microsoft's ICE and Adobe Photoshop CS5 Photomerge. ##################################### Past: Most of the photos have been taken with the classic (all glass and metal) Minolta AF-Lens 28-135, dating from 1985. Up to 29-09-09 this objective was mounted on a SONY a-100 body with photos taken directly in JPEG. ##################################### In the past cRAW images were converted to DNG-format, in Adobe Photoshop converted "As Shot" to 6048x4032 JPEG (maximum quality: 7-14Mb), than finally resized for Panoramio to 1600x1200 Jpeg. Since 10-02-10 a Hoya HD Filter CIR-PL 72 Digital has been added in front of the AF 28-135.
