Matterhorn and Sacajawea make up the left (west) side, and Craig Peak the right (east) side, of what appears to be the crater of a formerly much larger peak... The Hurwall Divide is located on the north side and Ice Lake is located in the center of the crater. A chipmunk is located at the center of the picture, where this photo was taken from the top of Eagle Cap looking north.
A portion of Wallowa Lake can be seen as a silver reflection north of Aneroid peak, with East Peak and Mt Howard along the ridge between. The East Fork Wallowa River valley is to the left in this picture, with Bonneville and Mt Joseph rising behind.
View of Mt Howard, East Peak and Aneroid over Bonneville and Ice Lake from Matterhorn. Notice the smaller glacial pond to the right above Ice Lake - an incredible place for a refreshing swim after backpacking up into the crater.

The easiest route to Eagle Cap is via Horton Pass.
Glacier SE of Matterhorn, Ice Lake and Craig Peak
My two companions in the background came down from Matterhorn the hard way (Matterhorn is to the right above their steep slides, seen center-right).
Eagle Cap is the half-dome on the right with the Lake Basin in the foreground.
