Best regards from Grasse, in France.
It is not a castéle but one of the 3 forts grauding the eastern entrance of the Solent. This one is called No Man's Land Fort.

Tienes mi voto. La fuerza que transmite es brutal y encima refleja el invierno que habéis tenido por aquellos lugares.
Un afectuoso saludo
Very nice photo!
Lovely little village!
I shall never forget Yarmouth! I was on a brand new Royal Navy yacht the crew of which was RN officers and an RNVR skipper. We sailed over from Portsmouth for an overnighter prior to sailing to Cherbourg. This was going to be my first Channel crossing in a yacht.
Woke up at crack of dawn to a beautiful sunrise. Off we went. Blue duster flying. No sooner that we exited the harbour mouth and turned towards The Needles that there was a gronching sound. We were stuck on some rocks!!!!!
The skipper had sailed out of Yarmouth many times before!
You can imagine the sight of a RN yacht stuck on rocks. As other yachts went past they all burst out laughing.
This was only the beginning of my nightmare. Some of the crew got so pissed that they had to lie down. The skipper was a diabetic and went all funny. This left only me to get us to France.
Luckily, my navigation is good (I'm an Architect).
With only me to steer and do all the work we still managed to get to Cherbourg.
As we moored up, I packed my bag and jumped ship. I was on the next ferry back to England.
Got back to Portsmouth and went to get my car from Elephant Island. Not there! I went to the Guard house to find out what had happened to it.
It had been towed away as it was parked in an unauthorised location. I was given a lift in a RN jeep to pick it up. Off home!!!!!!!!!!!!!
