Looks like basalt dikes intruded into old continental metasediment series. The western part of Fuerteventura consists of a continental core with outcrops on the coast - almost the entire rest of the island is composed of volcanic rock. To the north, Lanzarote is entirely volcanic - but probably resting on an elevated block (semi horst type) of continental crust.

Dear Petromin, a wonderful capture of... well the colleague above calls this a schist. As I don`t possess a geological map of Ukraine I have to compare it to the outcrops I know in Europe and South America. The folding pattern rather reminds me of cherts than of schists...

But - as you know - two geologists three opinions :-)
