Alan Deacon's conversations
The Guild Hall in Windsor was designed and built by Sir Christopher Wren. When the hall was originally designed there were no internal pillers on the plan, after and argument with the planners, internal pillers were added to avert fears that the over hanging hall would colapse. However though the pillers were added Sir Christopher Wren was so convinced of his design the pillers were built 2 inches to short. If visiting the building this can still be seen and the hall hasnt fallen down!.
