 This is actually a very fine painting by Honorato Alatorre Salce, an Mexican artist of note whose style has been described as "unimaginative, almost photographic, but perfect in execution".   He has shown in various large cities in Mexico,ie. Monterrey,Mexico, D.F. and various places in the United States.
  The Parish Church of the Sacred Heart is the second most important Catholic (Roman) Church in Linares and one of the finest examples of modified Gothic in northeastern most Mexico or Texas.  Sacred Heart is only about 110 years old, new by Mexican standards.   It is only about 3 blocks to the southeast of the main church on the Plaza de Armas, which is the colonial era Cathedral.   Both churches and their plazas are absolutely worth the visit, especially on Sunday during the afternoon and evening in the Summer.
