Can't make up my mind whether these boaters are either incredibly brave or incredibly insane to be out in the ocean during the 2nd day of a dangerous 3 & 1/2 days heavy surf warning. At times, they seemed to disappear when the waves came in.

Young boy on bike appeared to be in danger of the roaring surf by Camel Rock while on a walking routine. Sunny day but hazy from salt spray from 3 days of heavy surf.

Fish Eye Marine Park with On Deck & Undersea Observatory. A long walk on the boardwalk from shore leads to undersea observatory accessed by stairway or elevator. Scuba divers intermittently feed and play with the undersea wildlife throughout the day as scheduled. Nice that it caters to physically challenged visitors.

Fish Eye Marine Park, Guam, an underwater observatory of what is called the Piti Bomb Hole area protected by law. You can watch scuba divers feed the fishes and other undersea wildlife through observation windows by using stairway or elevator into the enclosed circular. The boardwalk is a rather long walk.

Fascinating how this spaghetti of wires don't tangle when the rotars are turning at high speed. Photo of military helicopter at Asan Memorial Park, Guam.

Greg Perez Marina, commonly known at the Hagatna Boat Basin has existed in this location for over 50 years. This is a busy harbor and many boat owners live in their boats here.

What was once tangantangan jungle & beaches alive with seashell crabs, land crabs, sea cucumbers, etc. is now almost entirely concrete jungle housing numerous hotels, motels, condos, high-end shopping and entertainment primarily serving visitors/tourists. When 9/11 occurred & SARS became an endemic, tourist activities almost halted and Guam's residents kept Pleasure Island alive.

Ironwood trees provide shade for park visitors at Statue of Liberty Park, Paseo de Susana (a manmade peninsula housing Guam's official Major League Baseball Stadium & the smaller Softball Field right along side the Hagatna Boat Basin. NOTE: The Yankees Major League came to Guam in the 1950s for an exhibition game with our Guam Baseball champions; the Yankees hit homers all through the game, although they tried not to.

The Cost of War: Guam's own - Vietnam War THE WALL lists Guam military member's names who sacrificed their lives in a senseless war that no one knew why the U.S. was involved in the first place. Americans who did not want to support the war became conscientious objectors and moved away from the U.S. to avoid serving in Vietnam. Guam lost more military members in Vietnam per capita than any state of the Union. When the war in Vietnam was going on, it was also the era of sit-ins & love-ins with emphasis on PEACE-LOVE-UNDERSTANDING.
