I used to visit this pub often when run by a lady known only as Susan. She only served bottled beers, all delivered by boat, and as far as I remember, three bottles and that was your lot. Susan lived on coffee and ice cream (or so rumour has it!) I was one of the privileged few who were allowed to serve themselves, and helped her keep a tally of what the other customers drank. You paid as you left.
