RWFG's conversations
Michael, somewhere I have to thank you. I grew up in Glatz and Habelschwerdt. The summer of 1937 we spent our vacation in Koserow. This photo shows the Koserow I remember: the steep coast, the woods and everywhere between the trees the sea. - In the winters of 1940 and 1941 I went skiing with my father in the Riesengebirge, and everywhere I find your pictures. Very nostalgic - we have no photos left. - Since 50 years I live in California.... Your Rolf Gross rolf357(at)gmail(dot)com.

Hello, Rolf I've looked at this location, and I'm not sure it's the right one. We can't see any village at this place, but maybe it is only because of the resolution of the satellite image. Are you sure of the location?

Hallo Herr Mast,

This picture is actually an example of Asturian-visigothic pre-romanesque, not romanesque. It was built by visigoths escaping the invasion of the "moors" in 848. The romanesque style didn't come into being until later in the 9th century when the Burgundian Benedictine monks of Cluny spread it while on the Route of Satiago.
