This tree stump has significance to the Barnett family. The ashes of Donald and Juanita Barnett were scattered here by their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in 2005 (Donald) and 2008 (Juanita). The site is on a country road where they would "spoon" under a tree as a couple prior to their marriage in 1943. It was their wish to have their ashes together here for eternity where they promised to spend their lives together.
This is my families first home. We lived there from my fathers return from WWII in 1945 until 1950. With a fifth child on the way, the family moved to a much larger home across town.
Scottish Rite Temple
All Scottish Rite Masons are Freemasons. Of the 1.7 million Freemasons in the United States, approximately 550 thousand are Scottish Rite Masons.
They strive to produce better and wiser men by providing opportunities to foster leadership skills and education based on the values of friendship, charity, patriotism, tolerance, integrity and a belief in a Supreme Being.
Scottish Rite Masons are civic minded and charitable men who are reluctant to identify themselves by their civic activities or their philanthropies.
Nice shot! Reminds a bit of the main streets we know from western movies. +++ Wish you and your family a nice, healthy and successful new year 2013. Greetings from Frankfurt-upon-Main, Germany.
