I should have named this picture. It is taken from the hill above the village of Winterbourne, which you can see in the distance. The one-track lane from the B4494 winds through the woods - you expect to see fairies at every turn!

Blenheim Palace is near the village of Woodstock, in Oxfordshire. And this doesn't look like Blenheim Palace anyway.

Thank you, Saabman93! It was a lucky shot, taken at 11.30a.m. on 2 Feb 2009 - I was upstairs looking out of a window facing the gateway when I spotted the unmelted frost making that pattern on the tarred driveway, so I ran for my camera. Right next to the gate there's a barn with an outside stairway, so I took it from up there - the best view.
