the tower was condemned for its planned use during construction. the continuous-pour construction method, which took place during an especially cold winter season, developed a long vertical crack that was described by falls building instructors as being attributed to 'improper construction methods/procedures and/or defective building materials'. the main concrete structure was declared unsafe to build upon and the completion of the tower was cut short and it has become a giant antenna mounting. krieger owned it recently but he has passed away. i was fortunate enough to watch construction of the tower from room 227 on the second floor of bolich middle (junior high) school way back in winter 71-72.

no, what's worse is when you have the phillips' next door who ALWAYS have to park their POS gross-polluting, tuna-boat 63 chevy impala (not even a good year) in the street and the snowplow driver has to swerve around the car leaving more snow for you to shovel before you can get to the street. so we've waited all f--king day for the city plows to do dead-end 13th street and then this shit happens. every single time.... if you live in the Falls and your neighbors do not park their junk in the street- be nice to them.

Great shot, and innocent-sounding title compared to: the sun setting on rex's erection... this is actually Newberry Hill, and part of the Cuyahoga Falls City School District. Newberry Park is located just north of here near Silver Lake Avenue, and includes Newberry Woods and The Cuyahoga Falls Jaycees' Sylvan Theatre. This is where we sledded as kids. You can tell the hill is outfitted for the Winter with the climbing cables in place. rc

Beautiful shot! Greetings from Manila.

this used to be a fun place to hike/sled-ride until our wonderful national park service took over...

Beautiful shot.

BTW, I have heard the box girders have been modified with grids to keep little daredevils out.

Strange how far away from the tracks this water tank is....

sick picture! go jackets!
