The colonial Raffles hotel, opened in 1887. It used to be next to the beach, but is now 500mtrs away, due to land reclamation. A great history, the last wild tiger was shot under the billiard room, the Sigapore sling was inveted there.More than 300 Japanese troops committed suicide in the hotel using grenades following the liberation of Singapore.
