I am a retired engineer and retired US Army officer. I spend most of my time working with various charities in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota. I also spend time every year since 2006 in Nigeria working with the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria. I assist them in water, sanitation, management, economic development and other things as requested. I also work with the LCCN Deaf Centre, Spring of Hope HIV/AIDS Support Group and the Mashiah Foundation. I have been an avid photographer for almost 50 years.

Google's State boundary is a little off. This town is actually located in Adamawa State. I believe it is in Mayo Belwa Local Government Area. You do have to drive into Zing then take a bush road out of Zing and back into Adamawa State.

My old alma mater

This Title is inappropriate. I believe that it is used to demean the residents to the Cedar Riverside Plaza Apartments. While the photo is ok it should be retitiled as the Cedar Riverside Plaza Apartments.

This is the old fire department.

so interesting photo! Greetings from Mongolia.

This is the house I live in when I visit Jimeta. One of the guards at the Jimeta Cathedral calls it the "Falling Down House". The trees around the house are Neem Trees. Most parts of the trees are used for some traditional medicine. The most important part is that it is an evergreen and always provides shade. Which is real nice during the long hot dry season.

Foreground, broken hand pump on a dry hand dug well. Background, new hand pump on drilled borehole.

Many days it is too hot to be in the school building so they have added an outside blackboard at the Waaka Primary School.

Women and kids collecting water from a the school bore hole. The pump is broken but the water is artisan. The water is hot and flows to the surface at only a few liters per minute. When school is out the people of the village can use the water. The school is a residential school. When the students are living at the school the bore hole only produces enough for the school's use.
