And who knows what might have happened to the donkey?!?!?!
Thanks Corey. I like it too. Lots of perspective.
After slicing south hundreds of miles across the Central Valley from the Sacramento Delta area, suddenly I-5 climbs in a single gulp up to the 4144 ft. summit of Tejon Pass. Note the trucks parading upgrade in the center of the picture.
This is the main academic building on the Groningen University campus. It is relatively new, built in 1909 (Can a more-than-100-year-old building be considered new?) to replace an older building built in 1858 to replace an even older building built in 1614.
This view looks west over Lake Erie, toward Lakewood (near) and Avon (far), taken from the Memorial Shoreway.
From the bottom, the five bridges in this picture are the RTA viaduct (signified by the silver railing in the foreground), the red Center Street swing bridge (open for river traffic in this picture), the stone Superior Viaduct (1878), the blue superstructure of the Memorial Shoreway or Main Avenue Bridge and, at the top, the Veterans Memorial or Detroit-Superior or High Level Bridge. (All three names are used.)
Thanks. That's what it felt like, too, to be there.
I love the weeds growing from the top of the towers.
Thanks for the news, Cosy. I didn't know about its closing.
