By the way, MNR set up a couple pipes over the dam which my brother, uncle and I reset to actually be effective... It'll be neat to see if they actually work as they should in spring 2010. Doesn't seem like the beaver has bothered to plug them or anything.

I used to live on the edge of the valley, and could walk or bike into it via Twyn Rivers Drive pretty much any time I wanted. I miss it, but the Duffins Creek valley is incredible in its own way.

I was driving west down the 401 late October, right on the side of the road... I mean, on the grass at 43.799652, -79.142842 is where the dear was! It was so great to see up close. I hope she was fine after the snack.

I have seen some of the most violent thunderstorms coming across Loon Call lake. My family built the cottage on Lot 34 and the view from the front window was spectacular. This picture reminds me of the canoe rides with my parents after the storms.
