Frank Keeney
I have an insatiable itch to travel and explore. We often travel to the Southern California deserts. For me there is nothing better than doing this together with family and friends. Most of the photos I post are from our trips.
I prefer remote places, where four wheel drive is often needed. We'll camp in places far from any people or campgrounds. We always stop along the way to and from our destination to see interesting things. We'll avoid the Interstate highways when possible.
Trip preparation envolves reading local history and searching USGS (and other) maps for interesting and forgotten places to visit.
Photography started as a hobby when I was around 13 years old when I got my first 35mm SLR.

Hey Frank,
Great photo. Do you know who owns this land and what's the easiest way to get to it. I'm shooting a short film in May and am needing a old western house and was wondering more about this location. Thanks!

Frank, thanks for the comment. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, I don't check this site too often. There were actually 5 of these guys running together when I snapped this. Was only able to get one though.

Frank, thanks for adding your pictures to the Ghost Railroads group. We stomp the same ground out on the dez.

This picture reminds me of the lone paved two lane highway that is common in some of the newer movies. Although I like prefer the unmodern road in yours.
