Howdy Arthur & Marilyn, Thanks for getting a pic of this and putting it up. Our house is located at the south eastern corner of town and is built out of railway sleepers we obtained when the new tracks were layed on the transcontinental line. Cheers:) tRacy Datsport.com

Howdy All, This windmill was originally ordered for Saudi Arabia, but the order was cancelled and Baz Liased with the manufacturer in Alice Springs to obtain this 50 metre monster. Laurie, Michael, Megan and heaps of townfolk helped erect it. Michael found water underneath the windmill with his divining rods so we got the Department of Mines to come through and drill a bore underneath it and we found sweetwater. What luck! In the desert thats the equivalent of finding gold. We used to fill the fire truck from this bore and water the central area of town as the main supply bore in town was way to salty. Yet again, always something different happening in the Outback. Thanks once again for putting a picture up of it. We still have fond memories of managing the tourist centre (1989-1997). Thanks to everyone who visited us. Cheers:) t'RACY

Howdy All, I remember when the signwriter came to town, Baz and I got him to make a few signs and this was one of them. Baz has a great sense of humour. Thanks for putting a picture up of it. We still have fond memories of managing the tourist centre. Thanks to everyone who visited us. Cheers:) t'RACY
