This is Pinfold House, also known as Mansfield House. A Pinfold, or Pinfield, was an area stray farm animals were taken and could be claimed by the farmer upon payment of a small fine.
My great, great grand father, Alfred Lea 1845-1901, became farm baliff for his sister Mary Ann 1829-1907, upon the death of her husband Thomas Farlow Mansfield 1821-1864. Mary Ann moved into Pinfield Houe and renamed it Mansfield House. When the land was developed into a housing estate in the early 20th century the road was called Mansfield Road.
