Hi Steve, yes, a nice set of close-ups. I must admit to enjoying the more 'pictorial' shots of these though and this is a fine example.

Cheers, Herb

Brico, Alfred and köfteci enişte, thanks for your visits. Very happy that you all enjoy this train. My apologies for being late to reply.

Best wishes, Herb

Berend & Drew yes a very good result makes a great back ground on the lap top. i hope you are right but i have not found it yet . thanks gents. Steve

Drew & Berend this is using the FX ability to switch to DX crop and get extra length out of the lens. sadly not many birds about and not a lot of wind for them to soar on but i got one only. thanks Steve

Stuart, Drew & Berend NZ i believe would be very much the same as tasie but for the trees. a beautiful spot but was a very dull rainy day only small NZ native trout would be here none of the big oversea ones. this and all the ones about auckland where dry but it has rained quite well so a bit of water here. love to see this in the middle of winter. thanks Steve

Drew & Berend a straight tripod shot to get the view it was so dark. thanks Steve

Stuart, Drew & Berend yes this was just a very small one and very dark spot. you cant pass up this type of shot. thanks but you are right very oz with the lack of water. Steve

Drew & Berend not a good place to get caught in rips here this was in the rain camera in a plastic bag. man it was cold.. Steve
