Have been reading through my Dad'sletters from WWII. He and his Navy buddies spent July25-26,1945 in Weston-super-Mare. "We had apretty good time lsat night on the amusement peir, riding the Jack Rabbit, loop-a-plane, merry-go-round and all those crazy things. Sounds like abunch of kids, but anyway we had a pretty good time." They stayed at a hotel called Lauriston, and said the lady that ran it (Mrs. McCall?) was the nicest lady.
